Throughout the academic year we deliver a wide range of sports leadership training to pupils from Y2 through to Y11.
Infant & Junior Leadership
Our infant leadership programme helps to develop basic leadership skills in pupils and helps improve confidence and self esteem. When pupils progress into junior school ages, our leadership training becomes more in depth focusing on participants that take part in activities and what leaders need to consider, how to utilise the areas that activities are being delivered in, safety aspects for sports leaders to consider, the importance of communication in leadership and available equipment. Junior leaders also have an opportunity to practice delivery on their peers.
Our secondary leadership programme focuses on pupils in Y9-11 and helps to further develop leadership skills in pupils but also more importantly, focus the development of employability skills which can be used in future life. Training opportunities include:
Handball Leadership Training
Basic First Aid
Following the attendance of the various training opportunities, pupils get the opportunity to put what they have learnt into practice at various events throughout the year.
