This will include:

Raising Achievement Through High Quality PE and School Sport

• Access to the Partnership Development Day/Sheffield PE and School Sport Conference

• Access to a Mid-Year Networking Afternoon

• 1-1 school audit and action planning meeting with the PE coordinator

• Access to School Games Mark Application support

• Access to central resources to support the delivery of PE and School Sport (schemes of work, activity cards, session plans etc.) • Access to sports equipment to support the delivery of PE and School Sport

• Access to online shared drive containing relevant PE Coordinator guidance

• Support with accessing and writing funding bids

• Contact details for local clubs to support school to club links

• Access to Central CPD courses (minimum of x3 per year for x2 staff per school)

• Access to an annual localised curriculum mapping document

• Access to the Forge SSP assessment in PE tool

• Access to electronic tracking database

• Option of Support visits/observations to monitor external suppliers that the school use from outside of the SSP

• Support in extending principles of Sport/PE across whole school e.g. targeted groups of pupils, sports reward system

Competition and the Most Abled

• Access to a wide and varied range of Inter-School Competitions (including a variety of city wide progression events)

• Support with planning Intra-School Competitions

• Access to a minimum of 3 Virtual Competitions across the year

• 3 x Cross Curricular Competitions • Most Abled Pupil Support and guidance

 

Leadership and Volunteering

• Half day in-house sports leader training for 20 pupils

• Half day support in setting up a School Sport Organising Committee (Sports Council)

 

Participation and Engagement

• Support with intervention programmes and nationally funded projects (Subject to external funding. E.g. Girls Football Schools Partnership, Change4Life, YST Initiatives)

• Guidance in delivering Physical Activity within school

• Access to Lunchtime Supervisor practical workshops focussing on a range of engaging and fun games and activities (to be delivered at a central venue)

In addition to the packages below, we would also strongly recommend that a portion of the new primary school sport funding is allocated to cover the cost of 5 PE Coordinator release days per year. This will provide your designated staff member with time to carry out the roles relating to PE and School Sport within your school and also attend periodic networking meetings and CPD with other schools across the city to enhance your school’s provision.
